'Guttersnipe' has received huge support with Pete Tong tagging it as the biggest tune on his Australian tour. How does it feel to receive recognition from some of the Industries biggest names?

It's always good to hear a production I'm involved in is being supported. That's what it gets made for! But Its still hugely flattering to hear things like this from people you have a huge respect for.

Under your alter-ego Christophe D'Abuc, how important do you think your remix of the Prodigy's track 'Climbatize' was to the success your now experiencing?

To be honest, not that much really. That bootleg blew up in a way I never expected, but at the time I let very few people know I made it, for fear of getting done for bootlegging a prodigy track, so I didn't get that much exposure off it. Suppose it is just bragging rights?

In 2005 you hooked up with Asher Jones and Neil Barber, aka Rhythm Code, to form what later became an incredible 12 tracks in 6 months! How does the sound of Chris Lake as a Solo Project differ from that of your work with Rhythm Code?

Well when we hooked up to collaborate, we both used it as a way of experimenting with different sounds. We did some House, tech house, breaks (you wont be hearing that one ;) ) progressive etc, but just used our studio time together to learn new tricks. We live 500 miles apart so studio time is hard to organise hence we concentrated more on solo tracks in the end. I think now my sound is a lot more direct than the stuff I did when collaborating with the boys. We did much more layered stuff together.

You have also worked under various aliases included Ramsay and LAB Music. Do you have aspirations to produce different styles of music and what productions do you have in the pipeline?

Ramsay is Asher Jones (half of Rhythm Code) and myself, and LAB music is me and Rhythm Code (Lake.Asher.Barber music. That's how we got the name). My only other collaboration in the pipeline is With the trophy twins from Radio1, under our 'Defacto' guise. Expect to see our first release on Pop Pop in the next few months
